After many years of trying to find the perfect invention, from left handed screwdrivers, glass hammers and attempting to catch sparks from his grinder to top up his spark plugs, David almost fell into his greatest invention, the WallpaperBuddy™.

Wallpapering shouldn’t be so hard
After volunteering to help his sister wallpaper her lounge, he couldn’t believe how difficult it was to install. Frustrated with constantly needing help, David thought there had to be a better way.

After trawling the internet he found there were no tools to help, so he put pencil to paper and sketched his initial concept. Next, out came the toolbox, a few pieces of wood, and the first WallpaperBuddy™ was born.

He showed it to some friends who thought it was brilliant, as it solved a problem that they and many of their friends had experienced and together they decided to make it into the tool that WallpaperBuddy™ is today.

Turning a screwdriver and piece of wood into a working, cost effective and elegant tool doesn’t happen overnight. There was so much to consider. What would be the best materials, would it work with all types of wallpaper (it does), how would it work on stairs (it can), could the arm be easily adjustable with one hand (it is), how could it be made to assemble easily?
